Unique set of two Sterling silver 925 Salt Cellars hand-made by the prestigious manufacturer TANE in Mexico around the first half of the 20C . The salt cellars have the shape of two swans, which are decorated with semi-precious stones as eyes. Each has a small serving spoon (made in Sterling Silver 925). The hand-hammered design of each cellar was made extremely well with a meticulous level of detail only seen in the classical TANE art-works.
TANE is the most exclusive manufacturer of silver art-works in Mexico . Its fame is worldwide and its items are always considered exclusive and highly sought after by collectors.
Both cellars have enamel on the inside to prevent corrosion on the silver frm the salt; and are fully marked and numbered with the labels of Sterling Silver 925, TANE, Made in Mexico and JMS (the artist who might have crafted these items). The swans only show signs of age and minor wear. The size of each is 2” X 2”x 1.2” (H x L x W). |

Gorgeous Sevres porcelain vase made in the 19C. The vase is hand painted with flowers over a white background. The top of the vase is painted in light pink. This vase has bronze mountings of very high quality. The level of detail is amazing. The vase carries the Sevres mark at the bottom. It seems that either at manufacturing or at a later stage, gold gilding was applied over two marks at the bottom of the vase (which cannot be read anymore). |
Featured in this auction is a pair of gold leafed encrusted porcelain Meissen plates made in the 19 C. One of the plates is in pristine condition; the other was restored, but in general looks fine. Both plates have the traditional crossed Meissen swords at the bottom. There are nice hand painted flower bouquets at the centre of each plate. The plate with no restorations has two incised numbers at the back reading “334” and “7935” numbers on the other plate cannot be read due to its restoration. You can consider this as an auction where you will get two plates for the price of one!!!
The diameter of each plate is 11”. |

The figurine is in overall good condition, there are a couple of spots worth mentioning: there is a missing finger on her right hand and there are some tiny dents on the flower she is holding in her left hand. The figurine is fully marked at the bottom.

Featured in this auction is very rare and hard to find Parian porcelain item made by the German porcelain factory Katzhütte Thuringia, which is estimated to have been produced just between the 1st and the 2nd World Wars (1914-1940). This lovely piece shows two children (a boy and a girl) holding grapes perched on the edge of a basket.
This item shows some damage that can be fixed by a professional restorer. The leg of the boy was broken and glued back; his hand shows a minor chip in one of his fingers and his foot has a chip. The girl looks fine and with no damage. Other than the above, the piece displays beautifully and is fully marked at the bottom; it has an incised number “3” as well. The size of this item is: 9” x 6.8” x 6.8” (H x L x W). |
Featured in this auction is an outstanding and VERY RARE to find hand painted porcelain tea or coffee set by Sevres, which is estimated to have been produced during the first half of the 19C. The set is for two people and has a large charger plate, a creamer, a coffee pot, a sugar bowl and two sets of cups with their corresponding plates. The decoration on each item depicts couples in different situations (courting). The quality of the paintings is very good and the set is richly decorated with flowers and gold gilding accents. In truth this is a real find that you should not let go, as it is very rare if not impossible to find at all.
The cap on the water pitcher was professionally restored and shows some minor dents, the creamer has a small hairline close to the rim; other than that the set is in perfect condition only showing some signs of wear (commensurate with its age). In general this set will display wonderfully and will deserve a special place. All the set is marked at the bottom with the legend “Dore a Sevres” and the number “48”, in addition each painting is signed by “A. Chapuis”. The size of this item is as follows (H x L x W): · Charger 14.5” · Coffee Pot 5.5” x 6.8” x 4” · Creamer 3.5” x 3.5” x 3.2” · Sugar bowl 4.8” x 5.2” x 4” · Cup 2.5” x 3.4” x 2.8” · Plate 5” |

Magnificent urn in the Royal Vienna style, which is estimated to have been made in the late 19C or early 20C by the Ackerman & Fritze (Volkstedt, Germany) studios. The front part of the urn has an outstanding portrait of a lady feeding a bird signed by Rôsler. The urn is richly decorated in a quassi Art-Nouveau style. The urn has the beehive mark at the bottom. The right handle of the urn was broken and glued back; this can certainly be restored professionally. There is minor wear in the gold gilding, mainly in the handles. |
