This is an extraordinary opportunity for you to acquire a unique and impressive fish serving set made by the French manufacturer Limoges. The set consist of one large serving tray, a saucer and 10 individual plates. All items in this set are totally hand painted and each one bears the signature of the artist (Dubois in all plates and Melo in the saucer). This lovely set is estimated to have been produced in the late 19th Century or in the early 20th Century, and it is in pristine condition, with only the normal wear in the gold gilding of the plates, which gives the set a nice aged patina. Each of the plates and the saucer bear a different hand painted fish specie. It really displays magnificently and believe me you will not find a set like this and in such good condition, so this is a unique opportunity for you to acquire an item like this. At the bottom of this item you will find the Limoges imprint mark; in addition there is a mark of the importer as this set may have been imported into Mexico by a now extinguished store. Please take a look at the pictures as they are an important part in the description of this item.
The size of each component of this set is as follows:
· Service Tray: 24.5” long and 10.8” wide
· Saucer: 5” tall, 9.5” long and 6.5” wide
· Plates: 9.5” diameter
Given the size and weight of the service plate, it will be shipped separately. The rest of the plates and the saucer will be carefully packed and shipped in double boxes. Please note that the shipping cost is only to the US. If you want me to quote shipping cost to other international regions I will be more than happy to provide you with an estimated cost. |
