Featured in this auction is a rare and magnificent French bronze statue of Napoleon (lost wax technique) which is estimated to have been made in the 19C. The statue is not signed, but the quality of the casting is exceptional. The statue has a nice patina. The base is richly decorated with the classic “N” emblem in gold gilded bronze. Look at the outstanding level of details in every part of the statue.

The Napoleon statue does not have his sword (it is lost) and there are minor scratches on the back of the hat of Napoleon; other than this, this item is in excellent condition, given its age.

The size of this item is (L x W x H): 4.6” x 4.6” x 15.8”. It weights 6.6 lbs

 

Featured in this auction is a magnificent Art Nouveau Vase made in terracotta and decorated with bronze appliqués in the Jugendstil Style. The vase is estimated to have been made in the early 20C, in Europe. It has incised marks at the bottom “GN” and “7499”. In general, the vase is in good condition, there are a couple of minor wear marks on the terracotta and one of the bronze flowers is a bit loose, but in general the vase has a terrific look.

 

The vase has an impressive size of (H x L x W): 21.3” x 12” x 9.8”.

 

Featured in this auction is a lost wax technique bronze statue of The Virgin and The Child Jesus which is estimated to have been produced in Germany in the late 19 Century. The bronze casting is signed by Carl Jacquet. Frankfurt. This is an excellent reproduction of the famous Michelangelo marble sculpture “The Bruges Madonna” (C. 1504), which is one of his lesser know works located at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Bruges.

 

The statue is in perfect condition, showing only a nice patina commensurate with its age; it is placed on a beautiful green marble base. The size of this object of art including the marble base is (H x W) 14” x 5” and weighs over 12 lbs, the bronze sculpture is 10” tall.

 

Featured in this auction is a rare Napoleon bust made in alabaster mounted on a marble base, which is estimated to have been made in the early 20th century. The clock has the legend: “Palais Royal Mexico” and is not running. The top of the alabaster bust shows a restoration (hat of Napoleon) and the base shows some minor chips.

Featured in this auction is beautiful pair of large Czech Overlay Crystal vases in blue with hand painted flowers. The vases have several minor chips on their rims, which are barely noticeable (please see pictures). Both vases will display beautifully in any room.

 

Each vase measures (H x L x W): 12” x 5.2” x 5.2”.

Featured in this auction is a unique and rare rosary and missal in their original case made of pink satin and dark green velvet. The missal is in Spanish and has a silver adornment on the cover. The cover of the missal and the rosary are made of Dieppe teeth. The missal was printed in 1887 in Paris by Déjardin and has several nice engravings. One of the clasps of the missal is loose, but is not broken. The general condition is very good, this item shows wear commensurate with its age.

 

This item measures (H x L x W): 7.5” x 12.3” x 2.5”.

 

Featured in this auction is a delightful set of two youngsters made in bronze (lost wax technique), empire style and which are estimated to have been made in France in the late 19C. The statues are not signed, but as can be seen in the photos, the quality of the casting is very good.

There is a nice patina on both statues. There are no damages or missing parts, just signs of age.

The size of each statue is (L x W x H): 3.5” x 3.5” x 7.9”.

 

Featured in this auction is a beautiful antique European (German or French) blue opaline glass compote plate with curly borders, which is estimated to have been made in the late 19th Century. The plate is mounted on an ormolu base and has a hanger at the back to display the plate on a wall; the plate can also be used on a table as a centrepiece. At the centre of the plate there is a beautiful set of three putti reading a book of music. The plate is in perfect condition, it has no chips, cracks, restorations or dents, and only shows minor signs of wear.
